My mission is to create content that is a resource to help you reach your personal goals, advance your knowledge, and become inspired to live an overall healthy lifestyle.
My journey as a vegan began February 1, 2016. In January of 2016, I decided to take a class at my college called “Peaceable Kingdom”. I went into the class with an open mind, despite loving meat and having no intention of giving it up. What I learned ended up changing my life. During the course, the class investigated and discussed the religious, ethical, moral, environmental, and health aspects of our current use of animals its implications. The class also included an extensive amount of reading, papers, videos, and class discussions on all of these topics.
At the end of the course, I had been convinced that being a vegan was the best way for me to be the change I wanted to see in the world. From this point, I changed my diet without a slow transition, and it was difficult for me to actually apply what I learned to my life, especially since I did not know anyone that was a vegan. Over the course of a year, I learned what worked for me, and what didn’t, as I discovered different strategies for putting veganism into practice in my own life.
I’m still learning how to successfully live a vegan, balanced, and healthy lifestyle. Through this blog I will be providing what I have learned, and continue to learn, and I encourage you to join me on this journey.
